Belgium

Ecopower and EnergieID

The Belgian pilot project focuses on increasing the resilience of the Belgian electricity grid through balancing and flexibility, contributing to strengthening the country’s energy independence.

The energy cooperative Ecopower, with technical support from EnergieID, will explore ways to better align the production and consumption of green electricity by investing in energy storage and flexibility equipment, testing control logic, and sharing knowledge. All of this will help protect citizens from high market prices and reduce operational costs.

By aligning the production from Ecopower's wind and solar installations with the consumption of our customers, Ecopower protects citizens from high market prices and contributes to a stable electricity grid.
